Q: If it's so good, why did you retire it? A: Some fragrances contained ingredients that were discontinued by our suppliers. Those can't be recreated and won't return. But some of our greatest are retired simply for marketing reasons - we're over assorted in a category (this happened to Spiced Vanilla and Pipe Dreams), the name becomes hopelessly dated (Joanna Gaines loved the word "shiplap"!), the main note trends out of style hard for years (lavender), or it's just too niche (The Study).
