Overview

Inspiration: our company name is a nod to the most famous of Poe's works, The Raven, so when we considered a Halloween candle, this was a natural. Kids in other states go to museums or zoos, but for us growing up in MD, a visit to Poe's grave was THE favorite field trip. Later, living in Fells Point in Baltimore, I was often on the cobblestone street where Poe was found late on an October night in 1849. He was delirious, wearing someone else's clothes, calling out "Reynolds" (our last name!). He died 4 days later.
The mystery of what happened to him, and who Reynolds was, has never been solved.
