I tried this because I love Bathing Raven's other floral, Morning In Paris. Lilac is fantastic. It's stronger than some of their other scents, but it's not cloying or artificial at all. It's beautiful for spring.

I've always liked the coziness of burning candles, but I've always worried about the scents that go into them. A common misconception is that the U.S. government is protecting consumers at all times, but fragrances are entirely unregulated! It's not always easy to figure out what's making the candle smell good, which means it's hard to know what I'm inhaling via burning - scary. When I found Bathing Raven candles at a small shop in West Virginia and it specifically noted that they're cruelty-free and free from phthalates, score! I have some favorites (Farm House Hearth and Spiced Vanilla), but usually get a few of the seasonal scents too. I've liked the lilac one!

I was hesitant to buy a lilac-scented candle given how cloying most lilac candles from other places seem to be, but I'm a fan of Bathing Raven's candles and the description for this one intrigued me. Very happy to discover it's light, refreshing, and floral in all the right ways.
